5th RUNNER-UP & MISS CONGENIALITY

Annie Chen

Growing up in Michigan as a Taiwanese American, I learned from my parents many fundamental Chinese principles, such as filial piety, courtesy, and harmony. I feel blessed that my Chinese background has laid the foundation for my values and perspective on life.

I graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Nursing and now work as a registered nurse at Boston Children’s Hospital, one of the top pediatric hospitals in the U.S. I also volunteer for Nurses Against Forced Organ Harvesting, a non-profit organization raising awareness to the nursing and medical community.
