Mission
The New Tang Dynasty (NTD) Global Chinese Beauty Pageant is one in a series of international cultural and arts events hosted by NTD, which aims to promote the traditional aesthetic character of Chinese women and bring back pure authenticity, pure goodness, and pure beauty.
The competition is open to young Chinese women (ages 18 – 30) worldwide. This path-breaking event serves as a fine platform to promote Chinese culture and showcase the elegance and graceful beauty of Chinese women who embrace traditional values. The unique design of the phoenix crown symbolizes the five essential inner virtues — Morality, Righteousness, Propriety, Benevolence, and Faithfulness.
Organizer
NTD is a New York–based global television network founded in 2001 by Chinese Americans who fled communism. NTD is dedicated to truthful and uncensored reporting with a mission to create independent media, which it believes to be crucial to a free society. In addition to its flagship news programs which strive to provide insightful coverage of the world with the highest ethical standards, NTD’s arts and lifestyle programs embody universal values that celebrate the best of humanity’s culture and traditions.
The NTD Global Chinese Beauty Pageant will be widely promoted through various NTD platforms, along with its sister media organization, The Epoch Times (English) as well as The Epoch Times (Chinese). Moreover, the Grand Finals and Coronation will be televised to millions of viewers worldwide. NTD Asia-Pacific Television is the co-organizer of the First NTD Global Chinese Beauty Pageant.
Honorary Advisory Board
The Honorary Advisory Board of the NTD Global Chinese Beauty Pageant consists of international celebrities, Hollywood producers, supermodels, international beauty pageant champions, and renowned makeup artists, who are in favor of the fundamental philosophy and principles that the NTD Global Chinese Beauty Pageant stands for.

Eligibility
- At least one-third Chinese origin (open to all nations).
- Natural-born (genetic) female, recognized medically and legally in the United States.
- Age between 18 and 30 years as of Sep. 1, 2023.
- Has never been married.
- Never posed nude in film or print media.
- Never gave birth and not pregnant.
- Has no record of disciplinary action or misconduct.
- Has no visible tattoos or body piercings, except for earing piecing.
- Of good health and moral character.
- Fluency in either Mandarin or English.
- Hold valid travel documents during the pageant week (if traveling from outside of the United States).
- Must execute all consents and contract prior to the pageant start.
Procedures
Application & Pre-screening Phase:
- Application deadline: May 1, 2023 (rolling)
- Register and submit application at https://one.ntdtv.com
- A non-refundable application fee of US$50
- Required Materials:
- Completed application form
- Four high-resolution color photos (300 dpi or higher) taken within the past 12 months. Professional photos that are suitable for publicity purposes are recommended.

- Copy of a valid legal ID (passport or driver license)
- Proof of Chinese origin
- All application materials must be received by the deadline. Late or partial applications will not be accepted.
- The Selection Committee will review each applicant’s profile. Invitations will be sent to qualified candidates via email.
Online Audition Phase:
- The Online Audition will occur June 15 through June 30, 2023.
- Each candidate of the Online Audition phase will submit a US$200 registration fee prior to accessing the exclusive online training hub.
- Each candidate is required to review the training documents, guidelines, and study the assigned workshop content.

- Understanding the Chinese virtues
- Public speech
- Interviews
- Expressing one’s best self
- Dressing for success
- Training of posture,balance and walking
- Makeup and hair styling
- And more…
- Each candidate is required to schedule an online interview with the Selection Committee, and submit 2 required videos no later than June 1, 2023.
- Video submission requirement:
- Evening gown presentation (within 1 minute).
- “Beauty with a Mission” (within 3 minutes):
- A topic on the significance of women to the family, society, and the continuation of civilization
- Can be in either English or Mandarin
- Creative approach
Beauty Pageant Event:
- The 2023 Annual Beauty Pageant will be hosted in New York, U.S.A.
• Venue: The Performing Arts Center at SUNY Purchase College
• Dates: September 24 – October 1, 2023 - All pageant candidates will be evaluated in four categories:
• Judges Interview
• On Stage Q&A
• Dancewear: showcase physical fitness, poise and posture
• Evening Gown: demostrate style and grace - Optional categories (performing arts):
• Singing
• Dancing (classical Chinese dance or ballet)
• Creative - The Grand Finals and Coronation Ceremony will be televised through NTD’s global television network.
- The Miss NTD will receive the Prize package, have a reign of one year, and will wear the official Phoenix Crown and sash for her title.

Note
- By applying to the competition, contestants acknowledge the validity of the Rules and Regulations of the competition.
- Contestants shall comply with all the arrangements of the competition’s Organizing Committee.
- The Organizing Committee reserves the right to revoke the eligibility of prizes should a contestant be found in violation of the Rules and Regulations.
- NTD Television is entitled to all copyrights of text, audio, visual, and video products made during the competition.
- All awards must be accepted by contestants in person at the Award Ceremony. Absence at the Award Ceremony constitutes forfeiture of awards and prizes.
- It is the contestant’s full responsibility to handle any unexpected situations during the time of the competition.
- Since the Communist Party is outlawed in the United States, all images, songs and music that eulogize the Communist Party will be prohibited during this competition.
- The Organizing Committee shall have the ultimate authority to interpret the Rules and Regulations of the competition and have the right to make any changes as necessary.
